Aimee Nunez, M.Ed., is a seasoned educator with 19 years of experience in Texas high schools. As a first-generation college graduate, Aimee’s commitment to expanding access to higher education is deeply personal, stemming from her own journey to earning a college degree.

Aimee began her professional journey as an English teacher, later transitioning to the AVID elective before ultimately becoming a College Counselor. In her role as an AVID teacher, she worked with ninth and tenth grade students, helping them develop college knowledge and prepare for the college application process. She also took on leadership responsibilities as the AVID site team leader and contributed to college readiness curriculum development for her district. As a College Counselor, Aimee has guided students across a variety of majors, with a particular focus on STEM fields. She has experience supporting students in AP, Dual Credit, and International Baccalaureate programs. Her students have applied to a broad spectrum of colleges, from selective public universities and Ivy League schools to highly selective private institutions and liberal arts colleges nationwide.

Aimee believes there is no single "perfect" college for every student, but rather a journey to discover the best fit based on individual goals and needs. Her commitment to college access extends beyond her professional role, as she volunteers with local community organizations to bridge information and resource gaps, providing expert guidance in college counseling.  She is also a passionate community advocate, serving as a board member for a local nonprofit that provides Thanksgiving meals to families in need and offers scholarships to deserving high school seniors in her community.

Outside of her professional work, Aimee enjoys spending time with her husband of over twenty years and their two older children, often indulging in Marvel and DC film marathons at home or at the local theater. She is also a proud tia (aunt) to three wonderfully rambunctious nieces and a nephew whom she loves to spoil whenever possible.

As a College Consultant, Aimee finds fulfillment in guiding students through the college application process, believing that every student deserves a supportive team of adults invested in their success and future aspirations.
